131: People Comin’ Outta the Walls

aka Speakeasys, Nursey Shoes, and Hair Goop, Oh My!
We changed the title back and forth so the art in the vid is wrong.

This is our 2025, Season Six Premiere!

In this captivating episode of 'The Activity Continues,' Amy, along with her co-hosts, delve into the paranormal world by recapping The Dead Files episode titled 'Hotel Hell' which first aired on October 28, 2011. They discuss various ghostly encounters and unexplained events at the Don Vicente Inn in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida.

Throughout the discussion, they explore the eerie basement, spirits lingering from a bygone era, and especially disturbing histories connected to Jose Luis Avellanal. The trio also addresses the different reactions of the inn's owners toward the ghosts and engages in detailed chatter about the production quirks seen in this early Dead Files episode.

Content warnings include discussions on suicide, animal experimentation, and potentially unsettling historical context. Join Amy and her friends as they unravel the mysteries behind these paranormal occurrences and share their thoughts and insights with the community.

We really liked this episode, it was super fun looking back on the old way of doing things, way back in Season 1 of The Dead Files. We debated whether ghosts are transparent or not, compared film vs video, and pondered whether Amy Allan actually saw a different spirit than what was said in the episode. Amy Allan, please let us know!

So, grab your hair goop, and join us where… The Activity Continues.

Content Warning:
In this episode we mention suicide, and even have a short little true crime talk. Also, while Amy and Steve's swears are bleeped on TV, ours are not.

The Activity Continues is a paranormal podcast where soul friends, Amy, Megan, and AP chat about ghost stories, haunts, dreams, and other supernatural and paranormal stuff including the TV show, The Dead Files. Our recaps are full of recurring jokes about recurring tropes.

We also occasionally do interviews with people from the metaphysical world, as well as Dead Files clients.

This episode was recorded on December 1, 2024, and released on January 16, 2025.
