As you may have heard (if you follow Amy Allan on Twitter) the upcoming season of The Dead Files will be the last.
What does that mean for us here at the podcast that recaps episodes of this show? Well, first of all, there are already 14 seasons of episodes to choose from. We’ve barely scratched the surface. We have a lot of episodes yet to cover if we decide to go that way.
But part of why we wanted to do this show is to bring awareness to the TV show, so it can get more viewers, which seems pointless now.
So what are our options other than just keeping on, keeping on?
- Chose another paranormal show to cover (Probably something else on Discovery+)
- Chose another non-paranormal (but likely murder/true crime) show to cover. (Also probably something else on Discovery+)
- Try to find clients of The Dead Files and see if they want to guest on the show and provide follow ups. This would be my (Amy) first choice. But I haven’t had a lot of luck getting responses from those I’ve reached out to thus far.
- Megan and I can just tell paranormal stories (from history, Listener fiction, and listener stories) – this is another option that would rely on others to want to be a part of this.
- Switch gears entirely and come up with a totally new concept. Tell us some options that, knowing us, you think would align with our personalities.
