Interview with Diane McQuade

Welcome to our latest blog post where we delve deep into a fascinating and candid conversation with Diane McQuade, a former client from popular paranormal TV show, “The Dead Files”. This blog post captures the riveting details of her experience both during and after her episode aired.

Introduction

In this episode, Diane, a tattoo shop owner, provides a raw and heartfelt account of her life changes post-filming, the paranormal activities she encountered, and her reflections on the show's impact. Joining the conversation are her interviewers, Amy, Megan, and AP, who steer the dialogue through intriguing subject matters, personal anecdotes, and spontaneous humor.

Welcome to Diane McQuade

Diane is a client from The Dead Files episode, “Devil's Triangle”, that took place in a tattoo parlor in Pittsburgh.

She's got some updates for us. We hear how her life's been since then and if the activity is still there. So, let's dive into it.

Life Post-Show: A Rollercoaster Ride

Diane shares a dramatic turn of events after the TV show episode aired. She describes how her marriage ended, her business partner left unexpectedly, and she dealt with the passing of her father — all within a short span of time.

The emotional upheaval following these events was further compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing her to navigate through this turbulent phase while being confined indoors.

Behind the Scenes: Filming The Episode

The filming was an adventure, with people crowding into different rooms and adjusting the environment to suit TV production needs.

“Filming was intense. We had never been involved in TV filming before. There were about 20 people in a relatively tight space, making the experience quite overwhelming” said Diane.

The Paranormal Elements

Diane’s tattoo shop was not free from eerie happenings.

She explains, “While renovating the second floor, we began experiencing unsettling paranormal activities. It felt as if a presence — possibly the spirit of a former resident — was chasing us out.”

Diane describes feeling an increasingly uncomfortable energy, particularly when she was alone in the shop.

“I couldn’t focus; the feeling of someone hating on me was palpable. The final straw was when I saw a shadow following me, making me pack up and leave immediately.”

Interactions with The Show’s Team

When asked about her interactions with the show’s main cast, Diane shares her impressions:

“Steve is a good interviewer but sometimes asks leading questions. Amy was very sweet but highly gate-kept by the producers. Once we met, she was exactly who I thought she was — genuine and caring.”

Life Before and After

The tattoo shop wasn’t her first encounter with restless spirits, but it certainly was one of the most intense.

Before opening her tattoo shop, Diane grew up in a haunted house, which cultivated her sensitivity to paranormal activities.

“My mom and I always interacted with what we believed was the spirit of the home's builder. We named him Harry. Objects would move, and we'd often find things misplaced — classic poltergeist activity.”

Cleansing the Space and Moving Forward

“We followed Amy's recommendations for cleansing the space and brought in a local professional who specializes in clearing properties. This made a huge difference in the atmosphere of the shop.”

Diane continues to utilize these cleansing methods both at her shop and home to maintain a comfortable environment.

“It's been a long journey with many ups and downs, but today, our shop has the best crew we've ever had. It's a supportive and positive environment, which makes it all worthwhile.”

Looking Back and Moving Forward

Reflecting on being part of the show and dealing with the aftermath, Diane’s experience is both enlightening and cautionary.

“Despite some negative reviews stemming from the show, we've come out stronger. The experience taught us resilience and the importance of maintaining a positive space both spiritually and physically.”

Conclusion

Diane McQuade's journey through the chaos and the paranormal to find stability and happiness is an inspiring tale of resilience. Her story underscores the importance of supportive environments and the need for emotional and spiritual well-being.
